I make photographs and objects about unrealized possibility: what stays with us when we don't take the path we almost took.
I work with century-old photographic processes: cyanotype, kallitype, and newer iron-based chemistry like ferroblend. I mix the sensitizer by hand, coat the paper, and develop each print through a series of baths. More recently, I've been moving into three-dimensional work such as image transfer on glass, built into copper and wood structures.
The slowness of these processes isn't incidental. The layering, the imperfection, the physical weight of the finished piece is how the idea gets into the object. A crossroads doesn't need to be a crisis. Sometimes it just needs a form.
